Acknowledgement....

As u see my Blog now comes in a new avatar... i dont kno whether this new look suits the nature of my blog or not.. n quite frankly...i dont care !... but this new look wasnt invented or at the least discovered from the deepest trenches of internet by me.... hence this acknowledgement...

The whole layout of this blog was inspired and copied from my friend Alen's blog which is named as 'Baloney of Thoughts'... its a gud read actually with the only prob tht he doesnt update it quite often... u can read his blog from the list of blogs that is provided on the right side tab named 'Clicks of Interest'... Now the original layout is copied from www.gosublogger.com... give them a visit... they have lots n loads of other interesting blog themes up there....

So due to reasons pertaining to my impending University exams for which i hav studied nothin, i conclude my today's post... and in the course declaring this to be the most short post i have ever made...

Patriotism in these changing times...

just about 5 mins ago i received an SMS from my friend, the contents of which goes like this....

"Rs 6 crore/week is wasted in SMS by Indians, which cud have been used to feed 6 lakh hungry ppl in Pakistan...so keep those MOTHERFUCKERS hungry & keep messagin... Jai Hind!!"

Now those of who feel this is the right thing to be done and in anyway finds a rapport of patriotism with this msg can leave this page ryt now cos from very beginning, this sms has been like a bullet that got lodged up in my brain!.... Since when hav we decided that for the wrongs done by a handful, the costs need to be imposed on the majority of innocents?

This brought me ryt in front of this blogging screen... I kno not many wud read my blog or that many of those who reads this wouldn't last beyond a 3 or 4 sentences down the lane... But let me make myself clear... I despise Terrorism n in general i despise all those means and methods by which humanity (which is a  simple basic emotion and a virtue at the same time) is dragged down and turned up as a bloody mess for the personal gains and means of a few...

I see a lot of unrest amongst us Indians now... for what reason i ask... for the fact that we have suffered from a series of all time high level of terrorism in India?? OK! i agree with tht...But hav u ever wondered how much bloodshed is going on in other parts of India amongst our own people... Where Indians kill fellow Indians just because they believe n worship god in another name... Its not so long back...the news from Orissa and Karnataka is only sum months old.. Have u even read those news or seen the reports on TV from the comforts of ur home? U don't remember ryt?Its bcos it lacked the so called commercial value that the reporting channels could used to increase their TRP ratings... But I'm not in anyway trying to say that what we have experienced in Mumbai and in other places is to be forgotten or forgiven... We hav to act...react is more apt word to be used.. but not in the way like the SMS says u to... Not in the ways in which it would become easy for those who conduct these operations to succeed in their ill natured aims...NO! Be informed of the things that goes around u... realize that what we are going through is indeed a bad time... one in which we tend to doubt our brothers... where the very basic foundation stone of our entire nation, 'unity in diversity' seems to be shaken.... remember for a few that carries out terrorism, don't punish anyone of any community, any nation, any caste, any creed or any ethnicity....  Be humanitarian in ur approach... Just imagine urself to be in the place of an innocent Pakistani... who has done no wrong himself but who is blamed and hated by other foreign nationals...

"Treat violence not with violence but with compassion as violence begets nothing but violence"

remember that lesson which we all studied in the smaller classes at school?? remember the policy used by British East India Company to curb n control of the freedom struggle and to prevent the strengthening of nationalist feelings brought about by the union of Indians regardless of their religion caste or region?? its the famous old DIVIDE AND RULE... They days are here when we need to fight a war against those who wish to leave our country in chaos... n they r using this same age old policy... 'DIVIDE AND RULE'... but we need to open our eyes against this resurrected evil... Understand that its that which now being poured into our minds in its new avatar...but before i go into the details i want to share sumthing with u ppl... there was a program in the 9X news channel regardin the condition that prevails post Mumbai terror attacks... Sum person who was introduced as the expert in the psycology of violent men was called upon to giv his opinions about the mindset of the terrorists who seized mumbai.... But the views and conclusions that he put forth are worth listening to... According to him this case of an individual turning to terrorism has no reason psycological....its 100% sociological... any person can turn to terrorism.. yes any person..yes! U, me anybody... Its like a comparisons of an individuals past present and future status with more emphasis on the future... its like a self comparison of his and his families living conditions in the past to the living conditions to which they have deteriorated to now and the future where the act of terrorism promises to provide a radically different and promising future... the persons who recruit these terrorists giv an importance on the future aspect... the main recruit for the religious terrorism is found out to be headed by main 2 individuals...one a priest who gives consent for jihad and the 2nd a commander who provides training and coherence among other members during combat... The people who sponsor terrorism are of course always at a safe distance trying to achieve their goals without gettin their hands dirty... now there is also the factor of feeling powerful... A person with gun is the most obeyed and feared... The terrorist who gets the hang of wielding a weapon gets addicted to it... he feels ever powerful with the fact that he has a gun with which he can take lives of others...Now, what I understand from all this is tht the whole branch of terrorism works by feeding on the feelings of people who feels themselves to be depraved and who believe that they have been subject to social injustice... So the person who was talkin advised that while we should hit hard on the terrorists it is also our responsibility and duty to make sure that no terrorists is born again...

Now coming back to the before discussed divide and rule policy... there clearly exists a rift towards the people of a particular religion now... the reason for which is cited that terrorism is mainly from their religion... now think! estranging those brothers would only lead to more and more problems..more social injustice gives rise to more terrorists... more chaos...more doubts suspicions... leading to the ultimate collapse of the entire country... and also fanatics are also present from other religions and groups...the act of spreading terror is not reserved for any religion.. Keep urselves informed to the best as possible and prevent the spread of prejudice sparked by incomplete information and biased opinions...So sit up and think now cos its time to make up ur mind...

IN THESE TROUBLED TIMES OUR COUNTRY NEEDS OUR HELP, OUR COUNTRYMEN NEEDS OUR HELP, BUT MOST IMPORTANT AND ABOVE ALL THIS THE BASIC IDEA OF HUMANITY AND COMPASSION NEEDS TO BE KEPT ALIVE...THE MESSAGE OF LOVE AND UNITY NEEDS TO CROSS BOUNDARIES OF NATIONS AND BELIEFS....COS NOT EVEN ANIMALS KILL ANYTHING WHICH IS NOT THEIR FOOD!!!

Busy day.....

sorry folks was busy yesterday...so here comes yesterdays blog...today! ;)

I was busy designing a poster for the national technocultural feast organised by our college... CROSSROADS '09.... the theme for the fest this time around is Atlantis..which is the mythical (?) city that is long lost by the curse of Greek (or is it roman?) Gods... I tried to make the poster look as the ruins of the city that is lying around in the sea bed... n the most of the writings is made golden to bring about a rich look...i have attached the poster above...n i expect ur honest comments and criticisms....

and before that??...To start with let me tell u a simple story... or that's wht i think it is..... there exists a sis n bro in Cochin... the bro wud do anything for his spoilt n pampered sis who has a sworn enemy with whom this bro is in love with... now the prob is tht the siblings hav promised each other earlier tht they will only marry the person whom the other wud choose... enter into the picture a rogue turned gud guy.... and a doctor with whom the sis falls in lov with...also add 3-4 comedians who provide us with comical relief(?)... Sounds pretty lame? Well actually this is the basic plot for the director Shafi's latest venture 'LOLLIPOP' tht i went to watch yesterday morning..... Unimaginative and mediocre at its best, the film is yawn inducing and is a complete torture to watch for the 2 hrs n sum minutes while it lasts... the only part i felt relieved was during the interval... The movie makers in Malayalam film industry seems to think that any film with snazzy editing (actually below average by world cinema standard), ear drum breaking loud music with no musical value what-so-ever n heroes n heroines who try to imitate bollywood and tollywood lik zombies deserves the label of 'film for the Youth'.... Fuck you! Who r u to categorize the youth of today who have always enjoyed and promoted films of substance, as mere mindless animals whom u can use to mak som quick money..??On the acting front the only one i could see was Jayasuriya who slips into the robes of the character that he potrays...Prithviraj dons the new looked of the muscled up hero n though his acting has improved a lot from the past, he needs to go a long distance before he can be labelled as a decent actor... he needs to work more on the emotional front... kunjakko boban serves his usual purpose of just being the eye candy... the heroines on the other hand completely failed to make any impression and sumtimes may even get on ur nerves... bhavana who potryed characters lik tht which she potrayed in 'Nammal' is completely wasted in this film... i guess she is trying to be the next nayanthara or sumthing n to b frank i didn't like her in this new avatar.... on the contrary Roma who is decent in her looks is the weakest link in the film..she is on an all time low on acting panache and even gives one the feeling tht she was forced to do this film... the comedians like salim kumar n others fail to tickle ur funny bones excpte 2-3 scenes of Suraj Venjarammodu where we actually laugh not becos the comedy was excellent but compared to other comedies in the film they were a relief... and into a plot that is comparable to a story cooked up by a preschooler, many undesired n uncalled for side track stories are added, making the viewer leave the theatre with nothing except an intense headache...
I wud go with a rating of 0.5/5 that too jus for the decent cinematography, editing, Jayasuriya's performance and Prithviraj's muscles... The director of many mass entertainers like Mayavi chocolate etc, Mr Shafi has got it ALL WRONG this time around and i have nothing to say except that THIS  IS  ONE  LOLLIPOP  THAT  U  WUD  WANT  TO  DEFINITELY  GIVE  A  MISS !!!!

of Procrastination & sorts...

The great Wikipedia...my first and last resort for all kinds of knowledge about topics ranging from simple yawning to rocket science defines Procrastination as...

Procrastination is a type of behavior which is characterized by deferment of actions or tasks to a later time. Psychologists often cite procrastination as a mechanism for coping with the anxiety associated with starting or completing any task or decision. Psychology researchers also have three criteria they use to categorize procrastination. They believe that procrastination must be counterproductive, needless, and delaying.

and continues to say the following as if it just wants to scare the holy shit outta me....

For an individual, procrastination may result in stress, a sense of guilt, the loss of personal productivity, the creation of crisis and the disapproval of others for not fulfilling one's responsibilities or commitments. These combined feelings can promote further procrastination. While it is normal for people to procrastinate to some degree, it becomes a problem when it impedes normal functioning. Chronic procrastination may be a sign of an underlying psychological or physiological disorder.

Now i can hear all of u thinking alike, aloud... What have u procrastinated? well the answer is pretty much simple...Everything.... from the measly chore of taking out the trash to the barely sweat inducing writing of a blog... I have always done this procrastination thing.... hell! when i think about it, i have been doin this for a while now...exactly for 21 years  7 months and 3 days.... well all that was said just in order to make a point clear tht this blog though it may seem to b posted on 23rd...it’s actually intended for 22nd...u see the time system tht our ancestors have conjured up dosnt really strike a chord with me... how come u call the day as the next day without u ever going to sleep and gettin up with the sun stops shining so bright on ur face and shifts its concentration below the belt??...n the best time tht my creative 'juices' flow is after 12 ie., midnight.... though u may not seem to notice any creativity in my blog... i assure u tht its with great amount of effort and pain tht im writin this piece of whatever-u-want-to-call-it thing....

No reviews, no opinions of others copy pasted to make them seem as mine, no nothing of any sorts is there for me to write about today..and mind u, as far as the word 'today' is concerned it means 22nd Dec 2008 for me.... well actually thinking about today, I realize tht today i was busy doing nothin bcos i was busy making up resolutions... well i guess I must be only character out there who makes up resolutions so early...even before Xmas tht is...but let me make it clear beforehand with great pride tht i actually took a step forward towards the fulfillment of my resolution, blowing 1.5k of dad's money along the way... :D (hey! he makes it n i jus spent it..every time comin up with an innovative way to do it.., n believe me the latter part is real hard to b put into action)...

and here goes all my resolutions...

1) to get my Zippo lighter fixed... cos i hav come down on the daily average of cancer-sticks consumed due to the lack of proper oomph! inducing lighting system...

it had stopped working sumtime back and i noticed its flint not being ale to produce sparks properly...n i fixed tht promptly after abt 2 weeks of procrastination... but after tht only the spark remained with no flame.. so had to replace the wick which i undoubtedly again procrastinated... n today i was able to force myself to take it to a shop n get it fixed... n believe me it does giv a sense of pleasure to smoke a cigarette (hwever cheap the tobacco tube may b) lighted with an orginal Zippo lighter..tht too long after ur lighter got dysfunctional... Oh! i hav attained nothing short of smokin Nirvana today..at the expense of 100rs off my dad's pocket again...

2) to buy 3 tutorial DVDs tht promised to make an expert in 3 creative softwares...(Adobe Premier Pro CS3, Autodesk 3ds Max & Maya)

it cost me (actually my dad) around 1.3k...but i was happy.. n y shouldnt i be? they promised to make me a 3d animator guru... n i want to b one..not cos for my love of animation..but my pretty much hatred for everything else....i even went for animation classes for about 5 months until 2 bike accidents so rudely interrupted n made me drop those classes...but i actually finished till Adobe Photoshop (i jus kno the the position of tools inside them that is)... n actually im kinda into films these days..and to make matters worse (for others perhaps) i have this urge to become a director, a cinematographer and an editor all bundled into one... much like a walkin talkin movie factory in myself... so editing is an area i havent hav the faintest clue about... so i hav decided to study myself wht this thing is all about... n got to hear tht softies like remier pro is the new industry standard... so couldnt get past the chance of gettin a tutorial fer it either...

Now if u were reading my blog till now (which i seriously doubt cos jesus once said 'thou shall reap what thou shalt sow'..n i hav never ever read anybodys blog.... not even the compulsive confessor even when she was on a full blown sex streak...) u wud realize an anomaly in my math... yea 1.3k +100 only gives ya 1.4k... where did the rest 100 go?... well my dear friends, before u jump onto all sorts of conclusions.. i spent 10 out of it for a book that promises to make u the next greatest man in nothing short of world history, whom the world of tomorrow will take up as an example...its based on NLP (Neuro Linguistic Programming)..which is sum new kind of brain developement programme..heard this was one of our former president Dr A.P.J Abdul Kalaams areas of interest....few pages into the book and i already feel tht a great man has been born..not me (ofcourse), but the one who actually came up with the idea of writing, publishing & selling this book....(come on, i was jus being pointlessly sarcastic.. n will definitely include a purely personal opinion about tht book in future posts...) but one doubt still remains.. if ALL of us (each n every soul) reads these kinda books & gift ourselves the raw power of our unlocked brain then wont all become genius & great?... But thus in effect none wil become great & genius ryt? cos everyone will b the same... is tht the exact reason y these kind of they-say-it's-a-sure-fire-method is not being introduced in the curriculum of the upcomin generation as everyone turning out to b great will render none of us weak n 'fit' enuf to b ruled upon?...This reminds me of the villain character of 2004's run away animation hit  'The Incredibles', Syndrome who say to its hero Mr.Incredible..."I will sell my inventions to everyone... making everyone a superhero...and thus ineffect no one will be...."

btw the rest 90 rs i liberally spent on my cigarette packets out of which 3 cigarrettes stil remain... speaking of which, i'm gettin an urge to have a smoke... so cya folks or those of who come out of curiosity... till then... do whatever u want to... ;)...chao!

Past & Present

i hav been thinking bout this blog business all day long...every action i make every word uttered or heard uttered by sumone was scrutinised by my alter ego (yeah! i do hav one up there) as a potential content for todays blog.... but lets face it.. i aint no big creative writer (or even a writer at the least for tht matter) to conjure up verbal magic out of wafer thin ideas n occurrences... so let me write sumthing about the only thing tht truly inspired me today...

i have been going through the sunday supplement of Hindu newspaper which is titled as 'Magazine'... to b entirely truthful this unusual act of newspaper reading was strictly induced by the nerve whacking boredom tht i was experiencing...

the article tht got my eye was one tht was titled Gems from Tagore n the reason was not tht i have an admiration for Tagore as such but the picture that has been given along with it... it shows Tagore with Albert Einstein... yes the same Albert Einstein who belong to the class of those ppl i hav cursed all along my school days & even now for my graduation, purely for inventing these many uncanny and intricate formulae and theories, forcing poor and not-so-bright students like me to sit late during the nights and mug up them..the interstin thing abt these formulae are that they contain so many alphabets but are never ever even be remotely as close to a word...n i always used to wonder y?...may be the set of all formulae contain all the possible combinations of alphabets tht  never make a word... oops! sorry i'm, far from my topic...

So, what attracted me to the photo was Tagore standing with Einstein... i had always the picture of Tagore being the literary phenomenon of India while Einstein is sumthing like God for me as he has singlehandedly thought up the basics of modern science.... the 2 of them together jus created a feeling of 'oh! my gosh!' n i never knew tht the 2 even existed during the same period in history... then due to acute boredom induced frenzy i started reading the article & to say the truth it was such an elegant & effective piece tht made me change my whole mindset about Rabindranath Tagore...

the article begins by shedding light on this great man who is well renounced as a poet, novelist & composer and playwright... but the author makes it clear tht he had also ventured into the areas of travelogues, essays & polemics....

the article says that Tagore has made himself clear that the ultimate virtue that one should hold is Humanity & not anything else..not even Patriotism.. To quote the legendary figure himself:

"Patriotism cannot be our final spiritual shelter; my refuge is humanity. I will not buy glass for the price of diamonds, and I will never allow patriotism to triumph over humanity as long as i live. I took few steps down that road and stopped: for when i cannot retain my faith in universal man standing over and above my country, when patriotic prejudices overshadow my God, I feel inwardly starved"

he has always shared a desire to be above every segmentation that tended to divide the basic humanity... even patriotism beyond an extend is a prejudice against humans of other nations....such was the magnitude in which he contained humanity inside him.. that doesn't mean he was against the freedom struggle that was raging in this very soil at tht very same period of time... but he liked to see this as a struggle to free the devilish grip of European colonialism upon humanity... in other words freedom in a broader sense and perspective.. against the exclusiveness that the colonialists had... the carnivorous and cannibalistic tendencies to keep the 'aliens' at bay or to exterminate them altogether as if  they were afraid of other races achieving prominence...

The claims of Indian Nationalism, European imperialism and Soviet communism all came under the unbiased criticism of Tagore.. he questioned all this by a mere simple question

" are u doing your ideal a service by arousing in minds of those under your training, anger, class hatred and revengefulness against those not sharing your ideals, against those whom you consider to be your enemies?"

he doesent sto there and then goes on to clarify the message that he wants to put across

"True, you have to fight against obstacles, overcome ignorance and lack of sympathy, even persistently antagonism. But your mission is not restricted to your own nation or party, it is for the betterment of humanity according to your light. But does not humanity include those who do not agree with your aim?"

Tagore always believed that in this ever changing world  if one have a mission that includes all humanity, then acknowledgement of the existence of differences in opinions is crucial. And the opinions are changed and rechanged only through the free circulation of intellectual forces and moral persuasion...

these ideas that this great man put forward a hundred year ago holds much significance, if not more, in these days....Addressed to those of his time, these remarks can be addressed against those of the present times who wish to forcibly impose their own convictions on the rest of humanity, all those who fanatically and violently seek to take possession of the past and future of mankind...

The columnist, Ramachandra Guha, has done an excellent job of infusing the reader with the same passion and spirit with which Tagore conveyed this message to the world... and has definitely brought the meaning of patriotism under clear scrutiny in the light of humanity....

Strictly Sexual

Well though that may apt describe the nature of my actions and interests, what i'm tryin to convey here is strictly about a movie titled 'Strictly Sexual'...

Usually i'm extremely fussy about the nature of movies that i watch... especially when sumbody is watchin me pick a movie... guess i jus want to potray myself as an intelligent, sensible person who takes great care to watch only good films... but at 1:30 am i was on my own and strictly speaking it was the the second word in the movies title that made me watch it in first place and the preceding word kinda reinforced my choice to watch it... yea and u guessed it... 'Strictly Sexual'

But the movie came out as a revelation... i'm not going to say tht this is the most wonderful movie i hav ever seen and all that stuff... But its a nice one and if u really enjoy watchin the movie bcos of its story, the characters tht tend to grow on u.... then GIVE THIS MOVIE A DEFINITE WATCH....

Tag line of this one read 'a love story' & i guess it really turned out to be one... Written by Stevie Long (writer: Starsky & Hutch) who also enacts one of the leading character Stanny in the movie and directed by Joel Viertel of Devil's Pond(2003) & Suicide(2005) fame(?)...

Basic premise of the movie is that 2 successful women one a writer and another a fashion designer keep 2 guys in their pool house for strictly sexual purposes.... the guys on the other hand are 2 construction workers who come to California from Georgia in search of a job and being unable to find one jumps at the proposal of being the modern sexual slaves for the 2 rich hotties... which guarantees them a place to stay, food, free beer and most important of them all....SEX!!!

The film is a class apart from ur daily dime a dozen sexual comedies.... the story is not about just sex... but love being born out of lust... the characters are daringly different and though they seem simple in the beginning tends to grow on u with their complex characteristics well etched out... the conversations stay witty and short for most parts n where it tends to get mushy the dialogues come out brilliantly to the point at the same time emotional.... The actors completely do justice to their respective characters... but what came as a revelation was the writer of this film Stevie Long who in this film don the robe as an actor, a lead actor at tht, as one of the construction guys....

Leaving all the new innovative wide screen cinema effects back and with the near to null usage of computer generated graphics and video that is comparable to sumthing that is shot using a handycam...the movie really surprises u to no extend (it did tht to me atleast)... nothing of fancy sorts is shot... no tricky shot placements, no innovative or unusual angles selected... but the sex scenes that are so much in abundance within the movie really tend to get u turned on.... from the intial vigorous sex between Staney and the writer Donna to more subtle love making later on and the intial 'bad lay' of Joe, the other male protagonist with Christie Ann, the fashion designer to their more and more intimate sexual encounters, the fellatios the anals, everything has been brilliantly portrayed....

So all u ppl giv this movie a watch if u are in the mood for sumthing different...to taste sumthing spicy and full filling....or simply wants to watch sumthing STRICTLY SEXUAL......

for more infos & correct reviews plz follow the link given below.....

And now i got to go... And the reasons for which i cant publicly disclose coz they are.......'Strictly Sexual'....... ;-)

an introduction seems to be in order......

or at least tht is the proper thing to do...though u will find no use of it...

Now that i think about givin one i realise tht i have always failed to create an impact with my self intros... i seriously think i am the one to be blamed coz i'm the one person that i know the best & others know the least....and i hav always viewed the world around me and the ppl in it through my viewpoint.... so i do things tht i do to please me... some may call it as individuality... but i prefer to call it self centrism (dont kno whether the word even exists)...

Well let me (try to) explain my blog to u... its the brainstorm of a watchin 2 movies in a row with a packet of cigarettes along the way coupled with the major factor tht im not feeling sleepy to the least bit even at this god forbidden time when all human beings are naturally supposed to sleep... (a quick glance at my computers clock makes me realize tht its actually 3:06 am)... so enuf with the basic background and on with the stupid boring description of what to expect....

1) expect nothing within the boundaries of sanity
2) the word 'explicit' holds no meaning for me
3) blabbering, uttering and thrash of all sorts and nature will be provided in excess though they may be titled as reviews, previews, personal opinions and all other kinda sweetened names

for more information u can always log into my blog and dare to read it though no guarantee of a constant and regular update is provided in any way...

and to conclude my dear readers (yes im going...) the name of my blog is le inconnu which means the unknown in french....the language i hav always wanted to learn.....and the picture symbolises the leap of faith tht im so painstakingly preparing myself to take...

Kill off all my Demons..., and my Angels might die too...
